Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 300 g all purpose flour
  • 150 g water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Olive oil
  • (optional) minced garlic
  • (optional) any minced herbs, e.g. parsley

Directions

  • Mix the flour with the water and the salt (and optionally the minced garlic and herbs) for a few minutes until it turns into a nice dough.
  • Let the dough rest for about 15-30 minutes
  • Divide the dough into 4-8 pieces (these will be rolled out to your flatbreads, so divide depending on the size of flatbread you want)
  • Roll the pieces flat into a flatbread shape
  • Heat a pan on medium high heat. Add some olive oil in the pan or on the bread and cook the bread on one side for about a 1-2 minutes. It might create some bubbles, don’t poke them! These will get beautiful golden brown when you flip the bread
  • When its cooking I like to add some olive oil on the bread, so when you flip it, the other side will get a nice golden color
  • Flip the bread and cook the other side
  • Optionally add some olive oil on the finished bread and enjoy!
