Rava ladoo

Ingredients

  • 2 cup rava
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • few strands of saffron
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 20-25 raisins
  • 2 tsp milk

Directions

  • Mix rava and coconut and set aside for ten minutes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan. Add coconut and rava mixture and roast until golden. This takes 20-25 minutes.
  • In another pan heat sugar and water mixed together. Bring it to a boil. To clarify it add two teaspoons of milk. The syrup should be one string in consistency.
  • Add the roasted rava and coconut to this syrup. Take it off the stove and let it stand for 20 mins.
  • Add almonds and raisins or your choice of nuts to this mixture.
  • Roll in to ladoos.
