Tomato chutney

Ingredients

  • 5 medium ripe tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 2 long green chillies (more or less as per your spice preference)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Tempering
  • 1.5 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Pinch Asafoetida

Directions

  • Take a jar and add tomatoes, garlic, chillies and salt. Blend everything to a smooth paste. Take it out in a serving bowl.
  • Heat oil in a tempering pan. Once hot add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add asafoetida and temper it on top of chutney. Serve it as is.
  • This quick easy and yummy chutney can be served with paratha, thepla, dhokla, khichdi etc etc.. try it you won’t regret I promise.
