Honey-glazed char siu rice bowl

Ingredients

500 g Pork belly or Pork shoulder

2 Spring onion

1 small chunk Ginger

4-5 cloves Garlic

2 Bay leaf

2 Star anise
-
2-3 Tablespoons Honey
-
Salt
-
Boiled water
-
Seasoning
-
4 Tablespoons Char siu sauce
-
2 Tablespoons Fermented bean curd sauce

1 Tablespoon Soy sauce

1 Tablespoon Oyster sauce

1.5 Tablespoons Rice wine
Directions

Pan fried pork, spring onion, garlic and ginger until all meats turn into golden brown on both sides.

Add in boiled water and cook for 5 minutes.

Add in all seasoning, bay leaf and star anise. Stew for 20-25 minutes.

When the sauce turns thicker, turn the heat off. Pour in the honey and make sure char siu pork is covered the sauce evenly. Enjoy 😋
