Ingredients

  • 300 g Demerera Sugar
  • 100 g Margarine
  • 30 g Golden Syrup
  • 15 g Treacle
  • 4 tbsp Water

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a pan and heat slowly until margarine and sugar are melted
  • Continue to heat the mixture up to 285°c
  • Do a drop test with the mixture by dropping a little into some cold water. It should separate into brittle threads.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased tray or tray lined with baking paper.
  • Leave to cool and set. Once set break up with a small hammer and enjoy.
