Beetroot kadhi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 beetroot
  • 4/5 Red chilli
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1/2 tspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tbspoon desi ghee
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tspoon curry leaves
  • 1 tbspoon black gram flour

Directions

  • Blend curd and beetroot together to form pink colour buttermilk
  • Heat kadai add desi ghee.once hot add Fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, chillies, asefoetida,curry leaves, chopped Ginger.mix gram flour with buttermilk.
  • Saute for minute then add buttermilk and mix well add water to adjust consistency.add salt.
  • Boil kadhi for ten minutes and serve with khichdi or steam rice.
