Hot Fried Chicken with Veggies

Ingredients

  • Hot oil dip ———-
  • 1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup ground paprika
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup extra Virgin olive oil
  • Chicken———
  • 2-1/2 pound chicken thighs
  • breading 1————–
  • 1-1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • batter 2———
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • garnish ——–
  • as needed pickle slices
  • as needed oil to fry chicken
  • Vegetables ————-
  • 1/2 pound mixed vegetables
  • sauce for vegetables ————
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon heaping prepared Horseradish

Directions

  • Heat oil mix the hot oil ingredients and set aside
  • Flour the chicken with the breading ingredients.
  • Let sit 5 minutes
  • Mix the batter ingredients
  • Dip the breaded chicken into the batter and fry till done move to a bowl with a lid
  • Add hot oil mixture after stirring it making sure the oil is mixed up and not separated.
  • Add pickle on top and serve.
  • Mix the mayonnaise and Horseradish
  • Coat the mixed vegetables and fry
  • Move to a paper towel to absorb excessive oils

  • To make this mild omit the hot oil and hot sauce in the batter
