1 whole chicken4 cups oil for frying2 egg1 1/2 cups all purpose flour1 tbsp brown sugar1 tbsp salt1 tbsp paprika2 tsp onion salt1 tsp chili powder1 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp celery salt1/2 tsp dried sage1/2 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp ground allspice1/2 tsp dried basil1/2 tsp dried marjoram1/2 tsp oregano

Thoroughly mix all spices togetherCombine spice with flour, brown sugar and saltDip chicken pieces in egg white to lightly coat them then transfer to flour mixture. Turn a few times and make sure the flour mix is really stuck to the chicken. Repeat until all chicken is covered with flour mixtureLet chicken pieces rest for 5 minutes so crust has a chance to dry a bitPreheat fryer to 350 degreesFry chicken in batches. Breast and wings should take 12-14 minutes and legs and thighs will need a few more minutes.Let it drain on a few paper towels when it comes out of the fryer.Serve hot!
