Microwave Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • Dry ingredients
  • 6 tbsp all-purpose/plain flour
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Wet ingredients
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • Optional
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 tbsp choc chips or choc melts

Directions

  • Combine all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. If you want to add a pinch of salt, this is when you do it. Mix well with a fork or a whisk to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  • Add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips. When everything is well incorporated pour the mixture into a microwave safe dish (glass or ceramic) or even split it between two to three mugs, and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • NOTE: Every microwave is different, and every dish and mug shape differs in height and width, so keep an eye on it. If it is still gooey and undercooked, microwave again at 30 second intervals until cooked. (It’s also up to you how gooey you want it, maybe like me you like lava cake!)
