Banana Buns

Rosie's kitchen fiesta

Ingredients

  • 2 over ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teas spoon cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons curd
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • oil for frying

Directions

  • Mash the 2 overipe bananas. Add the sugar, salt, cumin, baking soda and curd. Mix everything well.
  • Add the plain flour and knead to make a soft dough. Apply oil to the dough and cover and keep the dough for fermenting for about 8-10 hours.
  • Knead the dough for 1 minute and cut into small lemon size balls. Meanwhile keep oil for heating in a deep frying pan. Roll the dough in round shape.
  • TIP: Keep the buns a bit thick while rolling. Don’t make it to thin.
  • When the oil is hot slowly slide the buns in the hot oil. FRY TILL golden brown.
  • Serve with hot lentil stew. Bon Appetite!!!
