500 grams beef cubes2 medium carrots, cut into chunks1 medium onion, chopped4 garlic cloves, minced1 cup plain tomato sauce4 tsp sweet Hungarian paprika2 tsp spicy Hungarian paprika1 tsp caraway seeds1/2 tsp fennel seeds1-2 cups Water1 red pepper1 yellow pepperSaltPepper2 tbsp olive oil

Heat oil and fry the onions till fragrant. Add garlic then add in the peppers. Saute until half cooked. Take off the heatUsing the same pot, add beef and cook till slightly brown. Add in caraway seeds, fennel seeds, sweet and hot paprika and tomato passata. Stir in quickly.Add 1 to 2 cups of water and salt. Simmer for 30 minutes.. Add chopped carrots and the sauteed peppers and onions. Let simmer for another 15 minutes..At the end add dumplings:- Mix 1 egg, salt and flour to make a thick paste. Use a teaspoon to push little pieces into the soup. Cook for 2 minutes then serve with mash potatoes, pasta, rice or as it is..
