Easy minced beef spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 450 grams low fat minced beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 450 grams spaghetti
  • Half teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 450 grams can of tomato puree
  • Canola oil
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 1 bay leave(or indonesian salam leave)

Directions

  • Hear a big pot of 5 litre water with some salt and one table spoon canola oil while you preparing spaghetti sauce.
  • Heat the oil in pan, saute onion until translucent. Add garlic and saute few more seconds. Add turmeric and bay leave and saute for few seconds.
  • Add minced beef and stir on medium high flame and break it to small parts until meat become brown.
  • Add salt and tomato puree and saute for one minutes. Add enought water to cover the ingredients. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 30 minutes until the meat cooked through and sauce thickens. Discard bay leave. Add basil and black pepper.Turn off the heat.
  • Bring the water pot to boil. Break spaghetti to half. Cook spaghetti according to package. Drain in colander.
  • In large plate put the spaghetti. Pour the sauce on top and strit gently. Enjoy!
