Ingredients

  • 500 g beef fillet
  • 250 g sweet onion
  • 250 g tomato
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbs beef shawarma seasoning (if found)
  • Note:In case not found, use the alternative mix: Pinch of
  • peppers
  • cinnamon powder
  • crushed cardamom
  • 1 tsp salt
  • garlic powder
  • dried coriander
  • Tahini sauce:
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp crushed cumin
  • Mix all together untill the paste turn to sauce
  • Note: You can add water if the sauce is too thick
  • Biwaz:
  • 1 big onion
  • 4 tbs sumac
  • 1 cup shopped parsley
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • For sandwich
  • french fries
  • pickles
  • Saj bread

Directions

  • Cut the beef into long thin chunks.
  • In a bowl mix the following ingredients: *crushed garlic *oil *apple cedar vinegar *all the spices mentioned above to form the marinade.
  • Rub the meat with the marinade, cover and leave it overnight in the fridge.
  • In a pan, add the beef marinade, stir on a high heat till well cooked and well dried.
  • Add the chopped tomato, then stir on a high heat till they’re cooked.
  • Turn off the stove.
  • Served as sandwich with pickles and biwaz mix as desired.“
