Halal Pao Bun (Xialongpao / Bakpao)

Ingredients

  • 12 tsp flour
  • 1,5 tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk or you can replace it with water
  • 1/2 tsp butter (i used salted butter insted of unsalted butter)

Directions

  • Mix yeast, sugar and 5 tbsp warm water, stir then set aside until bubble2 (yeast is actived)
  • Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk and 1,5 tsp activated yeast then make dough until it’s not sticky.
  • Make small ball of dough
  • Cover dough with plastic wrap or clean. leave it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes dough will be like in this picture
  • After 30 minutes, punch dough then fill it with chocolate or minced meat or etc then cover it again with wrap or clean. Then leave for 15 minutes
  • Steam pao in a steamer for 5 minutes
  • Serve it
